And talks about extreme sports and being an accountant...
When I finished my sixth form studies in June 2012 I had a brief idea that I wanted to enter the accountancy industry, although I was well aware that I didn’t want to become the stereotypical accountant…boring! Then, in September 2012 I discovered Optimal Compliance and saw a future staring back at me.
When I get up in the morning and put on a hoodie and jeans you may think I’m either unemployed or it’s the weekend, in fact I’m actually getting ready to go to work – bizarre right?! This is one example of how OC isn’t your usual professional services business, it doesn’t follow the crowd. It has its own perspective, its own opinion and this was really attractive to me. One of the many beautiful things about joining OC is seeing owner managed businesses benefit from our structures and models and watching them grow. I feel a part of a close knit family, which has the client as the priority, and goes the extra distance to give them a hand up after 'bureaucracy' has shoved them down. The brains and intellect behind our restructuring is magnificent, with everyone in the team coming together as one to create really effective and efficient structures that really make a difference to peoples' businesses.
I am a keen sportsman and Optimal Compliance gives me the opportunity to work alongside sport, allowing me to make commitments to rugby and tennis, as well as having a social life – always a bonus! The anticipation of what Optimal Compliance will one day become is an amazing prospect and I am glad to say I will be a part of it....
I am also trying to get the whole team to do a parachute jump for charity...watch this space...
